How To Open Your Forth Chakra Heart Chakra Anahata Chakra

I hope you have enjoyed working with all of the chakras so far. Today we will add the next chakra, the Forth Chakra, Heart Chakra also known as the Anahata Chakra. This chakra is all about love, caring, and endearment. When open, you seem to be compassionate and friendly, always working in amicable relationships. If it’s under-active: you tend to be cold and unfriendly. If it’s over-active: you tend to be so “loving” towards people that you suffocate them, and you could be seen as selfish for it.

Step One

Sit with your legs crossed.

4-02

Step Two

Let the tips of your index finger and thumb touch on both hands.

4-03

Step Three

Put your left hand on your left knee and your right hand in front of the lower part of your breastbone.

4-04

Step Four

Concentrate on the Heart Chakra and what it stands for, at the spine, level with the heart.

4-05

Step Five

Slowly, but clearly, chant the sound “YAM.”

All this time, continue to relax your body, and think of the chakra, it’s meaning, and how it does or should affect your life.

Keep doing this until you are completely relaxed, and the “clean” feeling returns and/or intensifies within your body.

Notes:

With practice you will be able to achieve this clean relaxed peace more easily and quickly.

It is important that you have a quiet place to do this where you will not be disturbed.

Remember to turn off the phone or other things that may distract you.

If you have chakra mantras, you can also use them during this exercise. (If you need mantras or other meditation tools, see the Resources and Products page.)

It is also ok to kneel on a mat or pillow if you find the floor is too hard for you.

Remember, this is easy, don’t over think it. Just breathe.

How To Open Your Second Chakra Pelvic Chakra Svadhisthana Chakra

Moving on today in our chakra opening and balancing lessons, we will be focusing on the pelvic chakra. The second chakra; also known as the pelvic chakra, sacral chakra or the svadhisthana chakra, deals with ones sexuality and feeling. When the pelvic chakra is opened, feelings come very easy and are plentiful, they are easily expressed without you becoming overwhelmed with emotion. A well balanced pelvic chakra makes for a very outgoing and passionate person.

When under active; one becomes very impassive and unemotional, very closed off to anyone.

When over active; one may become very sexual as well as emotional and sensitive all the time.

Step One

Fold your legs under you and sit on them, keeping your back straight and relaxed like the image below.

2-02

Step Two

With palms up, lay your hands in your lap. The left hand should be beneath the right hand with palm of the left hand touching the back of the fingers on the right hand. Thumbs should be touching gently. This should look like you are making a circle shape. Use the below image as a guide.

2-03

Step Three

Focus now on the pelvic chakra and its location at the pelvic bone and lower back.

2-04

Step Four

Breathe slowly and deeply, feeling relaxed.

Begin to softly but clearly chant the word “VAM”. This should sound like “VVVAAAAAAAAMMMMM”.

Meanwhile focus yourself on this chakra and how it affects you and your life.

You will start to feel very relaxed and when completed you should again feel the clean feeling as you did with the root chakra exercise.
