How To Open Your Fifth Chakra Throat Chakra Vishuddha Chakra

The next installment in our chakra opening segment is the Throat Chakra, also known as the Vishuddha Chakra. Self-expression and communication derive from this chakra. If you find it easy to express yourself, your chakra is open and functioning well. You may also find yourself excelling in artistic ways. If this chakra is closed or under active, you may find that you hold back on speaking and may come off as shy. If you catch yourself lying often, it is a sign that you may very well have a blocked chakra. Those with an over active chakra may not be great listeners and speak out of line and often to the point where it may be an annoyance to others.

Step One

Sit in the kneeling position with your feet out flat under you.

Step Two

Lock your fingers together on the inside of your hands and touch your thumbs together. When touching your thumbs together pull them upward slightly.

Step Three

Concentrate and focus on the Throat Chakra and all it represents at the base of the throat.

Step Four

Slowly, but clearly, chant the sound “HAM.”

All this time, keep on relaxing your body, thinking of the chakra, it’s meaning, and how it does or should affect your life.

Keep doing this for about five minutes, and the “clean” feeling will intensify once again.

Notes:

With practice you will be able to achieve this clean relaxed peace more easily and quickly.

It is important that you have a quiet place to do this where you will not be disturbed.

Remember to turn off the phone or other things that may distract you.

It is also ok to kneel on a mat or pillow if you find the floor is too hard for you.

Remember, this is easy, don’t over think it. Just breathe.
